I was an actor in an elaborate film
about early 20th century wait staff
in some fancy hotel
Characters scheming on how to
steal “gold silverware”
including these tiny oyster & clam hootenannies
that were tiny scoops the size of guitar picks.
We had to get through security so we
planted a stolen necklace on a well-to-do broad
to divert attention.
Burgess Meredith was in a cameo
and I remarked to the
other actors that I used to live near him in
New York City.
