Hi Benji, it’s grandma.
I’m so sorry. I’ve been out of contact. Grandpa Henry wandered again and got on a bus to Sarasota. I had to drive all the way down there to get him. He spent the whole way back spitting out the window and calling me the “C” word. Remember when he called you that at Aunt Tammy’s engagement party? The second one? He loves you very much. He loves you very, very much and misses you.
Listen I’ve got some good news. You’re gonna be a stepbrother! Your mom married that Robert in Las Vegas and he’s gonna move in with us. Temporarily until his business gets off the ground.
And he’s bringing his son Clive, he’s 15. Clive says he’s gonna take you bow hunting in the fall. We had to move Grandpa Henry into your room because it’s the only one that would fit the bed. But, you know, you and grandpa Henry always get along so well!

Listen the camp nurse called me and it’s getting to be an urgent situation, Benj. You know you really just gotta do it, OK? You gotta poop, OK? It’s been two weeks. She said she’s gonna send in counselor Kyle to check on you every morning. Just get in there, close your eyes pretend he’s not there and just do it Benji!
