Hi Benji, it’s grandma.
I hope you’re doing well at camp. Everything’s going really well here.
I don’t want you to worry about a thing. Your mom moved in with that Robert and his son Clive over the weekend. I’m surprised, Clive is just a delight.
Listen a lot of his things kinda got lost or delayed in the move so he’s wearing your swim trunks and a couple pairs of your underwear but don’t worry. I ordered him some brand new ones from Nordstrom Rack. They should be here soon. Don’t worry! I’ll wash the old swim trunks and underwear of yours that he uses.
He says he’s gonna teach you some Thai wrestling so when you go to high school, the older kids won’t pick on you as much and you’ll know how to defend yourself. He’s just a charmer.
Anyway, look. Counselor Kyle called and he faxed over some of those drawings that you did and I gotta say, Benj, you know, I was a little lost for words.
But I told him that to me, it looks like maybe you were excited about your eighth grade graduation and was celebrating by drawing a picture. And and I told him it looks to me like a rolled up diploma on wheels, a little frayed at the top. So you know just think about it, Benji. Does it look like a rolled up diploma on wheels and you are just excited about your eighth grade graduation???! Then tell him. Say, “I was excited about my eighth grade graduation and I was celebrating.”
Anyway, I know, you’re curious at this age and it seems exciting. Everything happening to everybody’s bodies but, you know, you’ve just gotta knock it off on the pictorials, Benji, OK?! You only got another couple of weeks. OK, Benj, hang in there. Anyway I gotta go. Clive is taking me clay shooting. Have a good one. gotta go, bye.
